The cruel practices in the behind-the-scenes of Foie Gras
Foie Gras, often thought of as a luxurious food item, is now increasingly controversial upon the surfacing of the cruel practices of how it is produced.
In France, there has been calls to ban foie gras imports as many contend that it is against French welfare laws. Producers of foie gras have been exposed for using a process known as 'gavage' to force feed ducks or geese, causing their livers to swell. This causes internal bleeding and immense pain for ducks.
